Overview of the Process

When a data contributor uploads raw data for a task, the notifies you to begin processing the submitted data. You, as the Project Manager, are notified once data submission and initial processing are complete. Your role is primarily to monitor these tasks and intervene if necessary for further processing or review that falls outside the automated workflow.

What the system does automatically:

  1. Raw Data Submission: A data contributor uploads a file.

  2. Processed Data Submitted: The system acknowledges the upload.

  3. Processed Data Validated: The system performs initial validation checks on the file content.

  4. Processed Data Ingested: The data is incorporated into the system for further use.

  5. Calculating Emissions: The system automatically calculates emissions based on the ingested data, which includes finding the best emission factors (EF) and aggregating data.

Receiving Notifications

When a data contributor uploads raw data, the system states that 'Notification sent successfully.' This ensures you are aware of new data submissions that may require your attention.

Actions You Might Take:

  • Process data once available: When the assignee has provided the requested data, you will receive a notification. Go to the task to obtain the file, process the information and upload the data back to the platform (using the "transformed data" or "standard data" tabs, depending on which template you have chosen to align with.

  • Review the final matched emission factor(s): For relevant scope categories, the final Emission factors used, and change them to your preferred Emission factor if needed.
