Getting Started with Path to Net Zero Targets

This guide will walk you through setting up your first carbon reduction target using the 'Path to Net Zero' feature.

Step 1: Navigate to Path To Net Zero

From the main navigation, select 'Reduce > Climate Program > Path To Net Zero'.

Step 2: Initiate Target Creation

Click on the 'Create target' button located in the top right corner of the dashboard. This will open the target creation wizard.

Step 3: Name Your Target

In 'Step 1 of 3', enter a descriptive 'Target name' (e.g., '2030 Decarbonization Goal'). Then, select a 'Target category' from the dropdown. Click 'Next' to proceed.

Step 4: Define Baseline and Target Years

In 'Step 2 of 3', specify your 'Baseline year' and the corresponding 'Baseline emissions value' and its unit. Then, set your 'Target year'. Select a 'Target type' (e.g., '% reduction from baseline'). Click 'Next'.

Step 5: Set Reduction Details

In 'Step 3 of 3', if you selected '% reduction from baseline', enter the 'Reduction %' (e.g., '50' for a 50% reduction). You can also add an optional 'Business as usual growth rate (%)'. Click 'Save target' to finalize your target.

Step 6: View Your Target Dashboard

Your newly created target will now be displayed on the 'Path To Net Zero' dashboard, showing key metrics and a projection chart.
