Step 1: Target Not Appearing After Creation
If you've saved a target but don't see it in the dropdown:
Ensure you completed all three steps of the 'Create target' wizard and clicked 'Save target'.
Try refreshing the page in your browser. If it still doesn't appear, contact support with the target name you tried to create.
Step 2: Incorrect Metrics or Chart Projections
If the 'Latest emissions', 'Target', or 'Gap' metrics seem wrong, or the chart lines look incorrect:
Check your target settings: Go to the ellipsis (...) menu next to the target dropdown and select 'Edit'. Verify the 'Baseline year', 'Baseline emissions value', 'Target year', 'Reduction %', and 'Business as usual growth rate' are correct.
Recalculate the target: Click the 'Calculate target' button to ensure the dashboard is using the most up-to-date underlying data.
Verify underlying data: Ensure that the emission data being fed into the system is accurate and complete for the specified baseline and actual emission periods. Incorrect source data will lead to incorrect target calculations.
Step 3: Unable to Save Target
If the 'Save target' button is greyed out or clicking it does nothing:
Check for missing fields: Review all steps of the target creation wizard. Make sure all required fields (marked with an asterisk) are filled. For example, ensure 'Target name' and 'Target category' are provided in Step 1.
Input validity: Confirm that numerical inputs like 'Reduction %' and 'Baseline emissions value' contain valid numbers.
Step 4: Error Message During Target Calibration
If you receive an error message when clicking 'Calibrate target':
Make note of the exact error message. This could indicate an issue with backend data processing or a temporary system glitch. Try again in a few minutes.
If the issue persists, contact support with the error message and the target you are trying to recalibrate.
